Can you say "condemned"?
I knew that you could.
Unfortunately, someone with the appropriate power and responsibility has yet to utter those words in relation to the old railway station in which the model train show took place.
I could overlook the peeling plaster, gaping holes, and hasty patchwork. What couldn't be overlooked were the "restroom facilities". They were worse than those I experienced in Venezuela near the end of my trip (and believe me, THEY were BAD). Washrooms should be clean and have running water...these failed on both counts.
If I should die in the near future of some weird-ass infection, you'll know whom to blame.

Iced Tea, Pink Lemonade, or a Fruit Juice
In about 6 hours I'll be getting up, packing the van with Carol and heading off to St. Thomas for a two-day model train show.
The forecast calls for possible thunderstorms...meaning the dog might freak and do nasty things while we're gone.
My stitches have started to sting.
This is going to be a fun weekend.

Welcome to my blog.
Why am I doing this? Mostly as a proof-of-concept to see if it would work well as a substitute for the newsletter we publish for my wife's business. Having an actual blog implemented that I can show to her might help me convince her to go this route...
At least, I hope so.
That and maybe I'll have something interesting to say. More than likely, I'll just post incoherent ramblings at indeterminate intervals...
