It's amazing what you can achieve when you work at it. Also, the conspicuous absence the usual contenders helps. Check out pictures from the office:

Arrr, Matey...
Y'know...I don't really go out of my way to do things that aren't part of my normal hobbies. Which is why I was surprised to find myself out at Value Village today with the little missus.
What was I doing? Why, shopping for a pirate costume, of course! I was THIS close to being the only gay, hockey playing pirate at the office, I bet. Although, it's looking more like I'll be just a regular pirate now...still if anyone notices the "CCM" on the back of my pirate shirt I might just have to find a stick and a puck.
I do enjoy Hallowe'en...I'm just not one to normally take the effort to put together a costume. Probably the best was when somebody brought a bunch of stuff from the Society for Creative Anachronism. I got to dress up in the whole regalia...chain mail, tabard, sword, coif...it was quite something.
Maybe if I start now I can have my own set of chainmail made for Hallowe'en 2020.
